Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles and deliver parts to professional customers while handling COD deliveries and returns. You will maintain vehicle readiness, process deliveries with handheld devices, and ensure secure handling of all assets.

The role includes tasks such as stocking, cashiering when needed, and assisting with merchandising. Multilingual ability is valued, and a strong safety record is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Familiar with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained, complete inspections prior to operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/credit cards, devices, and monies during shifts.
• Pickup customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Report issues to store management and communicate customer needs.
• Notify management of vehicle maintenance or accidents.
• Ensure fuel is topped up and vehicles are secured at day's end.
• clock in/out per policy and perform other duties as assigned such as stocking, merchandising, and errands.
• Assist customers as needed, may cashier or help with merchandising when business dictates.
