Job description

Deliver parts and/or products to O’Reilly stores and distribution centers in a safe and efficient manner.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Drive the company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or the distribution center. Must have a valid state driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on the set route, and deliver to the appropriate store.
2. Maintain a daily city route manifest for deliveries.
3. Keep fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure. Be familiar with accident report guidelines.
4. Ensure that designated team members at each store verify all invoices and sign the route manifest. Make deliveries according to the schedule and report any delays to the city delivery supervisor or remaining stores on the route.
5. Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations. Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
6. Clock in/out according to company policy.
7. Check fluid levels (oil, radiator, transmission, etc.) and log mileage before operating the vehicle each day.
8. Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager. Ensure the fuel tank is filled, and the vehicle is locked and secured at the end of the day. Drive safely and defensively.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standards set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
