The Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering purchased merchandise to customers within the assigned market while meeting delivery and quality standards. The Delivery Specialist will deliver Legendary Customer Experience through building trusted relationships, offering seasoned advice, ensuring safe delivery of the product, resolving problems, and handling product returns as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ensure timely deliveries, meeting or exceeding scheduled delivery times.
  • Operate and maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and equipment, including trailers.
  • Load, unload, and organize products safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and issues.
  • Communicate with customers, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive experience.
  • Partner with field sales and store personnel to meet customer needs.
  • Handle products carefully to avoid damage and ensure safe transport.
  • Follow traffic laws and company policies for safe driving.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, or customer inquiries as needed.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Previous truck delivery experience is a plus but not required. Experience with hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts is preferred. Must be 21 or older, with at least 3 years of driving experience and meet MVR check requirements.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Certifications: DOT Medical Card as required.

Preferred knowledge, skills, or abilities
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical and mental stamina to move throughout the store and outdoor areas safely.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment.
  • Operate equipment efficiently and safely, providing high customer service levels.
  • Ability to lift and move large, bulky, or heavy merchandise.
  • Safely load and unload delivery trucks.
  • Use Microsoft Outlook and Calendar.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately for documentation.
  • Navigate using GPS and maps.
  • Complete all required training successfully.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Working Conditions
  • Work near mechanical equipment.
  • Drive in all weather and road conditions.
  • Moderate noise level.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing and walking.
  • Driving a vehicle.
  • Reaching overhead.
