Job Description

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products safely and efficiently.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete vehicle inspections.
3. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of delivery vehicles, including daily inspections.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Handle customer returns and complete driver return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or damages immediately.
8. Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at day's end.
9. Follow company policies for clocking in/out.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns.
11. Assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising as needed.

Skills, Education, and Experience

Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences, strong interpersonal skills, adaptability to changing delivery situations, a valid state driver's license, and a driving record meeting company standards.

Desired: Automotive parts knowledge, ability to operate store equipment, bilingual in Spanish, and other relevant skills.
