The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
2. Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
3. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of delivery vehicles, including completing daily inspections.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
6. Communicate any customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
8. Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at the end of the day.
9. Clock in/out according to company policy.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and assisting with sales as needed.
11. Assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising when business requires.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet company standards (14/18-point system).
• Possess a valid state driver’s license and meet eligibility requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
