Overview

Responsible for performing a variety of duties at the store and outside locations. Operates and maintains a delivery vehicle according to company policy. Prepares merchandise for delivery, delivers, installs, and demonstrates merchandise in the customer's home. Provides customer service and strives to serve customers professionally at all times.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate delivery vehicles safely on public roads; maintain vehicle condition with regular inspections.
  2. Secure and maintain company tools.
  3. Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures, including wearing seatbelts and OSHA-required equipment.
  4. Communicate with customers and complete pre-delivery checklists.
  5. Check and test merchandise before loading; ensure proper handling and delivery.
  6. Adhere to loss prevention policies and report unsafe conditions.
  7. Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle daily.
  8. Load, unload, and prepare merchandise for delivery and installation, including cleaning and minor repairs.
  9. Secure merchandise during transit and ensure customer satisfaction upon delivery.
  10. Follow the delivery schedule and perform minor service calls as needed.
  11. Dispose of packing materials responsibly.
  12. Use customer service techniques to ensure satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Maintain cleanliness of the showroom, store areas, and surroundings.
  2. Assist with store maintenance and display setup.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., or 200 lbs. with assistance, without injury or damage.
  • Ability to read tags, instructions, and maps.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain DOT certification if required.
  • Mechanical skills for installing and servicing appliances and electronics.
  • Flexible work hours, including weekends.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
