Job summary

Kurita America seeks a Delivery Service Driver for Fort Worth, TX. Safely deliver to customers while adhering to DOT regulations for hazmat handling and maintaining a 95% on-time shipment rate.

Responsibilities include product application at customer sites, safe handling of chemicals, and coordinating with logistics to optimize routes. Must have HazMat and Tanker endorsements and a valid Class A CDL; 2+ years HazMat experience preferred.

• Minimum 2 years HazMat delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers in a consistent, standardized method.
• Perform the application of the product to customer's water systems.
• Exceed customer’s expectations in service and timing.
• Understand hazards in chemicals handled and work safely for all.
• Coordinate with Logistics Planners to ensure timely deliveries and efficient routes.
• Ensure all tanks have proper labeling and matching paperwork.
• Perform Pre-Trip Truck Inspections before and during routes; report issues.
• Keep truck interior clean and exterior presentable at all times.
• Ensure electronic logs are functioning and used during trips.
• Follow Kurita America Work Rules and Disciplinary Policy.
• Take direction from Fleet Manager and be a valued team member.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Delivery Specialist is to safely deliver to Kurita America customers while following Kurita America and DOT regulations in regards to hazmat shipping and handling. This must be accomplished while maintaining an on-time shipment rate of 95% or better.

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Responsibilites:

• Deliver products to customers in a consistent, standardized method.
• Perform the application of the product to customer's water systems
• Perform your job functions in a way that exceeds customer’s expectations.
• Understand the hazards in the chemicals you handle & perform your job in a way that is safe for you, the people around you, & the environment.
• Work effectively with Logistics Planners to ensure deliveries are timely and routes are efficient.
• Follow the protocol that all tanks you deliver to must be labeled properly and have a serial number that matches your paperwork.
• Perform a Pre-Trip Truck Inspection before & during your daily routes. Report mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure your unloading equipment & tools are maintained in proper working order. Report issues promptly.
• Keep the interior of your truck clean and clutter free.
• Ensure the exterior of your truck projects a good image to our customers.
• Ensure your electronic logs onboard monitor is working & in use during your entire trip. Report issues promptly.
• Understand and abide by the Kurita America Work Rules and Disciplinary Policy.
• Take direction from and assist the Fleet Manager.
• Be a valued team member.
• Performance of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Material Endorsement and a valid Tanker Endorsement.
• 2 years minimum HazMat delivery experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle, and may not be disqualified from driving a commercial motor vehicle. This includes presenting and maintaining a valid medical examiner’s certificate (health card), or acceptable substitute, showing he/she is qualified.
• Must pass a physical, vision screening, & drug and alcohol screening, prior to hire and on an ongoing basis (as permitted by law).
• Must be able to move heavy drums with manual moving equipment.
• Must be able to properly wear a respirator and PPE as required.
• Must pass a Kurita America mechanical aptitude & basic skills test.
