Job summary

Kurita America in Shakopee, MN, is seeking a CDL Delivery Service Driver to safely deliver to customers while following DOT regulations and maintaining an on-time shipment rate of 95% or better. Travel includes 2–4 overnights per week with weekends at home.

Responsibilities include product delivery, application to customer water systems, safety compliance, collaboration with Logistics Planners, pre-trip inspections, and keeping the truck clean and professional in appearance.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A CDL with HazMat Endorsement and a valid Tanker Endorsement is required.
• 2 years of HazMat delivery experience preferred.
• Compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers in a consistent, standardized method.
• Perform the application of the product to customer's water systems.
• Maintain safety standards and work with Logistics Planners to ensure timely deliveries.
• Complete Pre-Trip inspections and ensure unloading equipment is in proper working order.
• Keep truck interior/exterior clean and present a professional image to customers.
• Adhere to Kurita America Work Rules and Disciplinary Policy.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Delivery Specialist is to safely deliver to Kurita America customers while following Kurita America and DOT regulations in regards to hazmat shipping and handling. This must be accomplished while maintaining an on-time shipment rate of 95% or better.

Job Title: Delivery Service Driver

Location: Shakopee, MN

Travel Requirements: 2-4 overnights per week, home on weekends

Responsibilities:

• Deliver products to customers in a consistent, standardized method.
• Perform the application of the product to customer's water systems
• Perform your job functions in a way that exceeds customer's expectations.
• Understand the hazards in the chemicals you handle & perform your job in a way that is safe for you, the people around you, & the environment.
• Work effectively with Logistics Planners to ensure deliveries are timely and routes are efficient.
• Follow the protocol that all tanks you deliver to must be labeled properly and have a serial number that matches your paperwork.
• Perform a Pre-Trip Truck Inspection before & during your daily routes. Report mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure your unloading equipment & tools are maintained in proper working order. Report issues promptly.
• Keep the interior of your truck clean and clutter free.
• Ensure the exterior of your truck projects a good image to our customers.
• Ensure your electronic logs onboard monitor is working & in use during your entire trip. Report issues promptly.
• Understand and abide by the Kurita America Work Rules and Disciplinary Policy.
• Take direction from and assist the Fleet Manager.
• Be a valued team member.
• Performance of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Material Endorsement and a valid Tanker Endorsement.
• 2 years of HazMat delivery experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle, and may not be disqualified from driving a commercial motor vehicle. This includes presenting and maintaining a valid medical examiner's certificate (health card), or acceptable substitute, showing he/she is qualified.
• Must pass a physical, vision screening, & drug and alcohol screening, prior to hire and on an ongoing basis (as permitted by law).
• Must be able to move heavy drums with manual moving equipment.
• Must be able to properly wear a respirator and PPE as required.
• Must pass a Kurita America mechanical aptitude & basic skills test.
