Job summary

Performance Food Group in Jackson, MS seeks a Router to create and adjust delivery routes. You will manage routes, calculate times, and collaborate with drivers, sales, and warehouse teams in a Sunday-Thursday shift, using Roadnet and other systems.

Responsibilities include cost control, route maintenance, and reporting on KPI metrics while ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years distribution, logistics, transportation or related work experience.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Establish cost-effective delivery routes compliant with DOT guidelines while maintaining customer service.
• Create routing procedures to optimize personnel and equipment use with driver safety focus.
• Perform Roadnet routing maintenance daily with accurate, timely data and route details.
• Provide costing, off-days, maintenance, scorecard, KPI reporting on a schedule.
• Recap previous days routing results and adjust standard routes as needed.
• Create maps and driving instructions for drivers unfamiliar with the route.
• Produce nightly driver manifest reports.
