Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System in Philadelphia seeks a Labor and Delivery Technician to support obstetric services with patient care, surgical scrubs, and equipment maintenance. You will assist with delivery room procedures and help ensure the safety and comfort of mothers and babies.

The role includes 1:1 patient care on all units and PCA duties on other units as needed; prior experience in Labor & Delivery or acute care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade school surgical technician program required.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
• 1 year experience in patient care role in an acute care setting preferred.
• 1 year experience in an OR Surgical Scrub role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and surgical scrub duties in the obstetric department, ensures environment organized and equipment maintained.
• Assists with delivery room procedures and supports care, comfort, and safety of patients.
• Provides 1:1 duties on all units and PCA duties on other units as needed.
