Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor II to coordinate with staff across ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, displaying and shipping.

You will oversee supplies, tools, equipment and parts in the warehouse and on the sales floor. You will monitor workload priorities, coach and develop staff, plan monthly meetings, manage attendance, ensure safety and assist with deadlines when short-staffed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years' warehouse experience.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor: Understand workload priorities and direct movement of all products to meet customer needs.
• Manage: Coach, train, hire and support staff. Provide regular feedback and recognition. Hold staff accountable for fulfilling their key responsibilities and goals satisfactorily.
• Plan: Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals.
• Punctuality: Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events just as it is applied to regular work schedules.
• Safety: Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and immediately correct inappropriate operating behaviors.
• Teamwork: Perform duties of supervised staff to assist in meeting deadlines and/or to fill in when short staffed.
