Job summary

Johnson Brothers is seeking a Delivery Supervisor to coordinate delivery operations and lead CDL and Non CDL drivers in a safe, timely, cost-effective distribution of products. You will coach staff, optimize routes, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, performance coaching, and continuous improvement across transportation functions. Strong leadership and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation experience.
• CDL license preferred.
• Experience managing a company-owned commercial fleet, including preventive maintenance programs, vehicle repairs, regulatory compliance, and asset utilization.
• Working knowledge of fleet maintenance best practices, commercial vehicle systems, and DOT inspection and maintenance requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze operational and financial performance data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of CDL and Non CDL delivery drivers.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, ELD, and Hours of Service regulations.
• Conduct driver coaching, ride-alongs, performance reviews, and corrective action plans.
• Analyze routing efficiency and identify opportunities to reduce miles, labor, and transportation costs.
• Oversee the external maintenance providers of the company-owned delivery fleet to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant, and available to meet operational demands.
• Manage labor scheduling, overtime, and staffing levels to meet operational demands.
• Ensure vehicle inspections, equipment utilization, and maintenance issues are addressed.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and customer service incidents while implementing corrective actions
• Lead pre-shift meetings emphasizing safety, customer service, and operational priorities.
• Review transportation KPIs including: On-time delivery, PM Compliance, Delivery accuracy, DVIR Compliance, DOT compliance, Accident frequency, Driver productivity, Cost per stop, Cases per mile, Route efficiency
