Job summary

Upway is seeking a Delivery & Operations Specialist in Los Angeles to be the face of Upway on the road, delivering and picking up bikes across the LA area and supporting daily warehouse operations when not driving. This hands-on role combines driving, customer interaction, and warehouse teamwork.

The role is based in the Redondo Beach area, near Metro K line. In this position you will operate an Upway-branded van, ensure safe, on-time deliveries, assist with basic bike setup, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in delivery, logistics or warehouse roles.
• Ability to operate a large van in urban/suburban areas with safety focus.
• Able to lift/move bikes up to ~70 lbs with assistance.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently on the road.
• Team-oriented and flexible between driving and warehouse tasks.
• Comfort with routing apps, warehouse software and comms platforms.

Responsibilities

Description

Upway is a fast-growing startup building the world’s largest e-commerce site for e-bikes. We are rapidly expanding in our mission to make electric mobility more accessible and reduce waste.

We are now hiring a Delivery & Operations Specialist to join our Los Angeles, CA team. In this role, you’ll be the face of Upway on the road – delivering and picking up bikes across the LA area with professionalism and care. When not on deliveries, you’ll support daily warehouse operations by moving, packaging, and preparing bikes for customers. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of our customer experience, combining driving, customer interaction, and warehouse teamwork.

Our location is in Redondo Beach, right off the Metro K line.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safely operate an Upway-branded van to deliver e-bikes to customers and pick up bikes from sellers across the Los Angeles area.
2. Provide a professional, customer‑friendly handoff at each delivery, including basic bike set‑up support when needed.
3. Support warehouse operations during non‑driving hours, including packaging, moving, and preparing bikes for shipment.
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick‑ups, and warehouse inventory movements.
5. Collaborate with the warehouse and customer support teams to ensure smooth scheduling, routing, and on‑time deliveries.
6. Uphold Upway’s safety, vehicle use, and quality standards to protect our customers, team, and brand.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Necessary Skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Previous experience in a delivery, logistics, or warehouse role
• Strong attention to safety and the ability to operate a large van in urban and suburban environments
• Comfort with physical work, including lifting and moving bikes (up to ~70 lbs with assistance)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on the road
• Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to jump between driving and warehouse tasks as needed
• Ability to use basic technology tools (routing apps, warehouse software, communication platforms)

Nice to Haves

• Experience handling bikes or e-bikes (repair, assembly, or retail background)
• Interest in sustainability, mobility, or the cycling industry
• Familiarity with the Los Angeles area and efficient routing/delivery practices
