Gulf Distributing Company of Alabama Huntsville is seeking a Delivery Manager to lead merchandising and delivery within assigned territories. This role requires directing a team, ensuring timely deliveries, proper paperwork, and adherence to safety practices.

You will manage drivers, train staff, and ensure accounts receivable are collected according to company policies, while maintaining strong communication with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery drivers for timely deliveries, merchandising, customer service, and vehicle maintenance.
• Conduct on-the-job training for drivers and helpers to ensure professionalism and consistent performance.
• Ensure accounts receivable are collected according to company policies.
• Conduct periodic reviews to observe, critique, and improve delivery performance.
• Know all delivery routes and fill in during sickness/vacation as needed.
• Ensure drivers adhere to DOT policies, e.g., Daily Truck Reports and current DOT cards.
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing prospective employees.
