Job summary

MSI in Austell, GA is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee day-to-day transportation operations, courier workforce, and payroll processes. You will manage safety, route structures, scheduling, and liaison with vendors to meet DOT, IFTA, IRP reporting.

Strong leadership and coordination with operations and sales are essential. Responsibilities include supervising drivers, coordinating with carriers, maintaining records, and ensuring timely deliveries while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school education required; college education preferred.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
• 1–2 years of dispatch and/or fleet experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, schedule, and consolidate product deliveries into truck loads.
• Supervise the scheduling and dispatching of drivers to cover each truck load.
• Coordinate with carrier representatives to arrange loading and shipping instructions.
• Monitor locations and utilization to coordinate delivery schedules.
• Arrange preventive maintenance and repairs for equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain shipping documents and data for shipping activities.
• Ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
• Record outbound freight documentation and routing.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate with operations and sales on on-time shipments.
• Perform other duties as required by the Operations Director.
