RESPONSIBILITIES
The Delivery Manager plays a critical leadership role within the three-person Delivery Management Team, overseeing the end-to-end execution of client projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the right technical resources aligned to meet business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on knowledge of the infrastructure and applications that power GeorgeJon environments including VMware, Windows Server, storage, networking, and disaster recovery platforms. This expertise enables them to independently drive project execution, confidently make or escalate technical decisions, and ensure alignment between client needs and engineering implementation. Delivery Managers act as both project leaders and operational problem-solvers, bridging cross-functional teams to maintain control over scope, timing, and quality. This is remote position.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Serve as the operational lead on assigned delivery projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and resource requirements.
Monitor and maintain risk and issue registers, escalating blockers appropriately and driving resolution.
Lead cross-functional delivery meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to track milestones, flag concerns, and communicate status.
Coordinate the assignment of appropriate engineering resources, ensuring skillset alignment with technical project requirements.
Make or facilitate decisions on technical issues during delivery, collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams.
Maintain accurate project documentation including decisions, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
Ensure consistent progress reporting to internal stakeholders, including delivery leadership and executive sponsors.
Conduct or support project retrospectives to identify improvement areas and capture institutional knowledge.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Track and report on project health, risks, and delivery metrics across the project portfolio.
Assist in onboarding new delivery team members or engineers by sharing delivery practices and expectations.
Partner with resource managers and team leads to proactively plan staffing based on project forecasts.
Contribute to the development and evolution of delivery frameworks, workflows, and internal documentation standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proven track record managing the delivery of infrastructure or technical projects, preferably in on-premises environments.
Familiarity with enterprise technologies including VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, disaster recovery, and networked storage.
Excellent project governance skills, including timeline management, escalation handling, and stakeholder coordination.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive cross-functional accountability.
Confidence in navigating technical topics and facilitating decision-making alongside engineers and architects.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams; familiarity with tools like ConnectWise, Asana, or similar is a plus.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
