Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Delivery Lead Construction Manager to oversee a team of inspectors and support staff, provide on-site construction oversight, and ensure FAA facility projects meet drawings, specs, and safety requirements. You will coordinate with FAA managers, contractors, and airport authorities, travel to multiple project locations, and maintain thorough project records.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in construction management, on-site delivery, QA/QC, or aviation/federal infrastructure.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field; equivalents considered.
• PMP, CCM, PE, OSHA 30 or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to inspection personnel to ensure consistent performance and compliance with FAA standards.
• Review inspection reports, field documentation, deficiency logs, and project records for accuracy and timely corrective action.
• Coordinate team priorities, evaluate performance, identify training needs, and support professional development of inspection personnel.
• Provide on-site oversight of FAA construction activities and verify conformance to drawings, specs, safety requirements, and standards.
• Monitor contractor performance, conduct field inspections and audits, identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain daily inspection logs, progress reports, photographs, punch lists, and turnover documentation per FAA requirements.
• Coordinate work sequencing and priorities with FAA managers, engineering, airport authorities, and contractors.
• Travel extensively to project sites and work independently on FAA sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Delivery Lead Construction Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of project inspectors and supporting staff while providing on-site construction oversight, project coordination, inspection, and quality assurance to ensure FAA facility projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and FAA operational requirements.

The Delivery Lead Construction Manager will also oversee daily team activities, assign inspection responsibilities, mentors staff, and ensure consistent documentation and adherence to FAA standards. Works closely with FAA Construction Managers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to monitor progress, verify performance, identify deficiencies, coordinate corrective actions and support successful project delivery.

Note, the candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust background check.

Primary Job Functions

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to inspection personnel to ensure consistent performance and compliance with FAA standards, specifications, and procedures.

• Maintain daily inspection logs, progress reports, photographs, punch lists, discrepancy records, and turnover documentation in accordance with FAA reporting requirements.
• Coordinate work sequencing, issue resolution, and project priorities with FAA Construction Managers, Engineering Services, Technical Operations, airport authorities, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, quality, and compliance while applying construction and engineering expertise to resolve issues and support successful FAA project delivery.

• Extensive travel to project sites is required. Travel may include overnight stays, nights and weekends, occasional holiday coverage, and travel between multiple project locations.
