Job summary

Responsibilities

Job DetailsJob Location: North Platte Location - North Platte, NE 69101Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolJob Shift: DayJob Category: TransportationResponsible for duties relating to effective and safe delivery of merchandise to store locations and customer sites within assigned job responsibility. Unload, stock, and load supplies/furniture for delivery. Assemble furniture, perform general maintenance and janitorial work.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities

• RECEIVING: Safely unload supplies/furniture and stock, as necessary, in warehouse area.
• DELIVERY: Properly load merchandise on trucks/vans. Deliver, as assigned, to specific store/customer locations. Perform rural and in-town deliveries as scheduled.
• ASSEMBLY: As necessary, assemble furniture for customers and for the sales floor.
• IN STORE SUPPORT: Assist with carry-outs and checking in and stocking of heavy merchandise. Help sales personnel load supplies/equipment as needed.
• MAINTENANCE: As instructed, assist with routine car and building maintenance, installation of large furniture shipments, and janitorial duties.
• DOCUMENTATION: Prepare documentation relating to delivery promptly and accurately.
• OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED

Qualifications

• High School Education or Equivalent Desirable
