Job summary

Eakes-Office-Solutions is seeking a full-time delivery associate in Grand Island, NE to unload, stock, assemble furniture, and support store and customer-site deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Education or Equivalent Desirable.
• 6 months delivery/warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds repeatedly and operate vans/straight trucks.

Responsibilities

• RECEIVING: Safely unload supplies/furniture and stock in warehouse as needed.
• DELIVERY: Load merchandise, deliver to store/customer locations, and perform rural/in-town deliveries.
• ASSEMBLY: Assemble furniture for customers and sales floor as needed.
• IN STORE SUPPORT: Assist with carry-outs and stocking of heavy merchandise; help sales staff load equipment.
• MAINTENANCE: Assist with routine vehicle/building maintenance, large furniture installations, and janitorial work.
• DOCUMENTATION: Prepare delivery-related documentation promptly and accurately.

Responsible for duties relating to effective and safe delivery of merchandise to store locations and customer sites within assigned job responsibility. Unload, stock, and load supplies/furniture for delivery. Assemble furniture, perform general maintenance and janitorial work.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities

RECEIVING

• Safely unload supplies/furniture and stock, as necessary, in warehouse area.

DELIVERY

• Properly load merchandise on trucks/vans.
• Deliver, as assigned, to specific store/customer locations.
• Perform rural and in-town deliveries as scheduled.

ASSEMBLY

• As necessary, assemble furniture for customers and for the sales floor.

IN STORE SUPPORT

• Assist with carry-outs and checking in and stocking of heavy merchandise.
• Help sales personnel load supplies/equipment as needed.

MAINTENANCE

• As instructed, assist with routine car and building maintenance, installation of large furniture shipments, and janitorial duties.

DOCUMENTATION

• Prepare documentation relating to delivery promptly and accurately.
