Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. in Windsor, CT is seeking a Driver Helper to assist the driver with daily delivery and operational activities, including loading and unloading freight and verifying cargo.

You will support route execution and complete duties needed to provide safe and efficient service. This role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, strong customer service skills, and the flexibility to work overtime with a Monday–Friday 4x10 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Accurately load and secure freight for daily delivery routes.
• Scan and verify all route freight before departure.
• Assist drivers with route navigation and delivery coordination.
• Help transport freight to customer business and residential locations.
• Pull, stage, load, and unload freight using manifests and established operating procedures.
• Perform material-handling duties, including picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and inventory counts.
• Identify and report overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, when trained and authorized.
• Follow detailed work instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain compliance with TSA, OSHA, company safety requirements, and customer-site rules.
• Provide professional customer service and perform additional duties as assigned.
