Job summary

Builders FirstSource in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist the Driver in delivering customer orders and in loading and off-loading products. This role may operate a company van or pickup under 10,000 GVW and does not require a Commercial Driver's License.

You will help secure loads, carry items like drywall, windows, and doors to designated areas, obtain proof of delivery, and support with safety and vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license and ability to drive a company van or pickup truck under 10,000 GVW.
• Good map-reading and navigation skills for delivery routes.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Solid safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Experience with loading/unloading and securing products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and securing products onto/inside the delivery vehicle.
• Assist Driver in delivering and off-loading at customer sites; obtain signed proof of delivery.
• Drive pilot vehicle for oversize loads and ensure safety compliance.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Plan own work to meet daily/weekly productivity goals.
• Follow all safety procedures and attend safety meetings as required.
• Other duties may be assigned.
