Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a delivery helper to assist the driver with loading, securing, and delivering customer orders. You may drive a company van or pickup, load items like drywall, doors, and windows, and ensure proof of delivery is obtained.

You will also help in piloting oversized loads and performing basic vehicle checks, while following safety procedures and daily productivity targets. High school diploma or GED and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of relevant tasks experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to load, secure, and unload product safely; assist driver.

Responsibilities

• Assists with loading and securing product onto or inside the delivery vehicle.
• Assists Driver in delivering and off-loading product at customer facilities.
• Delivers orders using a company van or pickup truck and obtains proof of delivery.
• Drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads and ensures safety compliance.
• Inspects and maintains delivery vehicles for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Plans work to meet daily/weekly productivity goals and adheres to safety procedures.
