Job summary

Expedia Group in Seattle is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Design Operations to scale our global design organization. You will drive operational programs, partner with design, product, and engineering, and improve planning, review, and delivery to support high-quality experiences.

You are a systems thinker and collaborative operator who can align teams, manage multi-team initiatives, and promote sustainable delivery culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in design operations, program management, or cross-functional delivery.
• Strong understanding of design workflows, tools, and review processes in digital product environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex programs and introduce operational improvements.
• Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams in matrixed organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Operational Frameworks: Implement and refine processes, workflows, and rituals that connect design strategy to delivery.
• Program Leadership: Manage multi-team initiatives, ensuring design work is scoped, aligned, and delivered on time.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align planning and execution with product management, technical program management, and engineering.
• Review and Workflow Coordination: Support design review pathways, from early squad reviews to leadership checkpoints.
• Delivery Culture: Identify friction points and help streamline planning and collaboration.
• Team Support: Assist design leadership with prioritization, staffing visibility, and operational readiness.
