JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards, plus access to an insured vehicle for delivery. Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and the ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, are required.

SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product and receive/ process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork; clean equipment and facility daily.

Training

Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.

Communication Skills

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions/Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately (calculator may be used).
• Make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders; good hand-eye coordination for rapid, precise movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks.
• In-store temperatures range from 36 to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit.
• Possible exposure to fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust; cramped quarters including walk-in cooler.
• Hot surfaces/tools up to 500 degrees or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
• Varying conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing.

Sensing

• Talking and hearing on the telephone; near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks; depth perception.
• Ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces; far and night vision for driving.

Temperaments

Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: including, but not limited to the following:

• Standing: Most tasks are performed standing; work surfaces typically 36"–48" high.
• Walking: Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store, vehicle, and customer locations.
• Sitting: Paperwork is typically completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift and move products, cases weighing up to 50 pounds; various handling tasks at front and back of house.
• Pushing/Pulling: Move dollies and trays; some pushing/pulling required.
• Climbing/Stooping/Bending: Occasional stairs, ladders, stooping, and bending during various tasks.
• Reaching: Frequent reaching above 72" and to the floor for stocking, cleaning, and operating equipment.
• Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; multiple deliveries per shift may occur.

Driving Specific Job Duties

• Deliver product by car to customer doors and deliver flyers/door hangers.
