Hawaiian Housewares, LLC, part of the C&S Family, is hiring a Professional Driver to deliver food products to customers on a first-shift schedule in Hawaii. You will start with a trainer and learn the C&S Way, following DOT regulations and safety protocols.

You will perform warehouse duties when not driving, handle 20+ stops per day, and manage loading/unloading in 100% touch freight. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan; plus a $6,000 sign-on bonus paid over six months.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Experienced delivery driver with medcard a PLUS!!

1st shift

Pay: $24.50/hour.

Sign-On Bonus: $6,000 (paid out in 6 months).

Schedule: Weekdays (Monday through Friday) with occasional weekend shifts depending on how busy the company is.

The Core Job: Delivering food products to customers.

100% Touch Freight: This means no passive driving. You will be personally responsible for handling, lifting, and unloading all the cargo off the truck at every stop.

Warehouse Duties: When you aren't driving, you will work inside the warehouse doing physical labor and admin tasks (loading/unloading trucks, taking inventory, processing product returns, and handling delivery paperwork).

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (box truck), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product

• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 20+ stops per day

• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements

• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements

• All other duties as assigned

• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)

• Warehouse : Store/Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge : Must be at least 21 years old.

• Special Skills : Enjoy working with people. Quality and customer-service focused.

• Physical abilities: : Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.

Years Of Experience

• 0-1 : Minimum 1 year of recent delivery experience

• 0-1 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment

• 0-1 : Minimum of 1 year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school
