Job summary

Superior Beverage Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Delivery Truck Trainee/Helper to support delivery drivers by handling cases of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic products. This entry-level role offers on-the-job and classroom training with a clear path into our CDL program.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to pass background check and drug screen.
• Interest in obtaining a Class A CDL and driving a box truck.
• Ability to lift 35 lb cases and work outdoors in various weather.
• Solid math skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Actively pursue and train for the Class A commercial driver's license.
• Assist drivers in unloading beer from our delivery trucks at each account in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Run Non-CDL box truck routes as needed.
• Rotate company products in retail accounts.
• Train on driver iPad technology.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner and promote a positive company image.
• Gain knowledge and comply with DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations and guidelines.

They are giventhe opportunity to earn their way into our CDL training program while assisting our Delivery Drivers in delivering cases of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic products to our customers on a daily basis. Our Delivery Trainees spend time doing on the job and on the road training, complemented by classroom time at our facility.This is a fast-paced, physical environment that provides our customers with all their beer and wine needs.

Driver Trainee Typical Duties

• Actively pursue and train for the Class A commercial driver's license.
• Assist drivers in unloading beer from our delivery trucks at each account in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.

Qualifications: Driver Trainee Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and great driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Willingness and interest in obtaining a Class A commercial driver's license.
• Willingness and interest in driving a Non-CDL box truck
• Ability to maneuver 168-pound kegs and 35-pound cases at each delivery location.
• Capable of performing duties in various outdoor weather conditions.
• Solid math skills.
