Job summary

CompostNow, Raleigh-based, is seeking a Delivery Driver (Sprinter/Cargo Van) to service ~100 residential accounts on local routes, returning to the warehouse each night. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2 pm, with weekly pay and stable hours.

You’ll perform pre- and post-trip checks, weigh bins, log service notes, and maintain a clean vehicle while upholding safety rules and customer service. Local routes mean home every night and opportunities to contribute to our mission of turning

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive local routes delivering compostable goods to residential and select commercial accounts.
• Collect 4-gallon bins, weigh and record bin weights, and leave a clean bin at each stop.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Return to the warehouse to unload and complete service notes; adapt to operational updates.

Our compost collection services and network of facilities help thousands of homes, businesses, and municipalities in North Carolina and Georgia divert and compost over a million pounds of organic waste each month.

The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 6 am - 2 pm.

Delivery Drivers service ~100 (local) residential accounts per shift, containing a combination of doorstep household and walk-in office locations. Deliver compostable goods to office and restaurant customers on occasion.

Delivery Drivers collect 4-gallon bins containing food waste, and leave a clean, empty bin behind for each collected. Delivery Drivers leave the customer's location clean and free of debris.

At the end of your route, return to the CompostNow warehouse to unload your van.

• Other Delivery Driver duties include pre- and post-trip safety/vehicle checks, weighing bins, recording bin weights, taking service notes, and maintaining a clean vehicle.
• This role operates within a dynamic environment where we test and launch new services (examples include scaled composting programs and specialty recycling programs). In addition to core responsibilities, team members in this role are expected to approach operational updates with adaptability and a willingness to learn. These initiatives are a normal and important part of how we improve and expand our impact.

Delivery Drivers are comfortable maneuvering large vehicles, have clean driving records, and ability to pass a background check.

Delivery Drivers operate vehicles in accordance with CompostNow safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and local, state, and federal laws. They demonstrate commitment to safety.

Delivery Drivers desire a physically active working environment, and have a willingness to work outside in all elements.

Delivery Drivers demonstrate commitment to customer service.
