Job summary

Delaware Valley Floral Group is seeking a Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver to safely deliver fresh floral products to customers across Long Island and NYC boroughs from Hauppauge, NY. You will operate a refrigerated box truck and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining product quality.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, efficient route management, and collaboration with the warehouse team. Start times are early, with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of professional driving experience in box trucks or larger.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience using GPS/navigation for route management.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and hardworking.

Responsibilities

About the Role

The Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh floral products to customers across assigned routes throughout Long Island and the five boroughs. This role plays a key part in ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining product quality, and delivering a positive customer experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F) and to lift, carry, and move products up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. The position also requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing in and out of a delivery truck, and extended driving periods.

Compensation & Benefits (What’s in it for you)

The expected hourly rate for this position is listed above. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Please note: This is a part-time position and is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.

• Potential Quarterly Safety Incentive Bonus opportunities up to $1,500 annually

Other Information

• Onsite role based out of the Hauppauge, NY distribution facility
• Part-time schedule; Must be available Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays required
• Start times: Monday at 2:00 AM; Tuesday–Friday at 3:00 AM, until route completion
• Local travel required throughout Long Island and the five boroughs

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years of professional driving experience operating commercial vehicles, including 16ft box trucks or larger
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification (CDL not required)
• Acceptable driving record (reviewed periodically)
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to effectively use GPS and navigation tools for route management
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
• Dependable, team-oriented, and hardworking approach
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
