Job summary

Delaware Valley Floral Group is seeking a Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver based out of Hauppauge, NY. You will safely operate a refrigerated box truck, deliver fresh floral products on Long Island and NYC routes, and provide courteous service to customers.

The role requires 2+ years driving experience, a valid license (DOT medical may be required), and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. This is a part-time position with no company benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of professional driving experience (16ft box trucks or larger).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification (CDL not required).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company refrigerated box truck to complete delivery routes.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of floral products to customers.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
• Load and unload products while maintaining quality and organization.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic operational readiness.
• Follow assigned routes and use GPS/navigation tools to optimize efficiency.
• Work in warehouse and cooler environments (34°F) using equipment such as pallet jacks, box cutters, and RF scanners.
• Partner with warehouse team to ensure order accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations.

About The Role

The Part‑Time Casual Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh floral products to customers across assigned routes throughout Long Island and the five boroughs. This role plays a key part in ensuring on‑time delivery, maintaining product quality, and delivering a positive customer experience.

What You’ll Do

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F) and to lift, carry, and move products up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. The position also requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing in and out of a delivery truck, and extended driving periods.

The expected hourly rate for this position is listed above. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Additional Opportunities Include

• Potential Quarterly Safety Incentive Bonus opportunities up to $1,500 annually

Other Information

• Onsite role based out of the Hauppauge, NY distribution facility
• Part‑time schedule; Must be available Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays required
• Start times: Monday at 2:00 AM; Tuesday–Friday at 3:00 AM, until route completion
• Local travel required throughout Long Island and the five boroughs

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years of professional driving experience operating commercial vehicles, including 16ft box trucks or larger
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification (CDL not required)
• Acceptable driving record (reviewed periodically)
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to effectively use GPS and navigation tools for route management
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills
• Dependable, team‑oriented, and hardworking approach
• Ability to pass pre‑employment screenings
