Job summary

Delaware Valley Floral Group LLC in Hartford, CT is seeking a Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver to safely deliver fresh floral products on assigned routes. The role emphasizes on-time delivery, product quality, and courteous customer service, with early morning start times.

You will operate a refrigerated box truck, load/unload items, and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accuracy while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 2+ years of professional driving experience operating box trucks (16 ft or larger preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification (CDL not required).
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively use GPS and navigation tools for route management.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

About the Role

The Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh floral products to customers across assigned routes. This role plays a key part in ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining product quality, and delivering a positive customer experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F) and to lift, carry, and move products up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. The position also requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing in and out of a truck, and extended driving periods.

Additional offering:

• Quarterly safety incentive bonus (up to $1,500 annually, based on eligibility)

Other Information

• Onsite role based out of Hartford, CT distribution facility
• Part-time, as-needed schedule with variable hours based on business needs; flexibility required
• Start times: Monday–Friday at 3:00 AM, until route completion
• Local travel required throughout the Hartford, CT delivery area
• Occasional Saturday work may be required
