Job summary

Delaware Valley Floral Group (DVFG) is hiring a Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver based in Hartford, CT. You will safely operate a refrigerated box truck, deliver floral products on assigned routes, and provide courteous customer service to clients.

This role requires lifting up to 60 pounds, familiarity with GPS navigation, and maintaining vehicle readiness. Flexibility for early start times and occasional Saturdays is expected. Onsite Hartford facility, upholding safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 2+ years of professional driving experience operating box trucks (16 ft or larger preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification (CDL not required).
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively use GPS and navigation tools for route management.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

About The Role

The Part-Time Casual Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fresh floral products to customers across assigned routes. This role plays a key part in ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining product quality, and delivering a positive customer experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment (approximately 34°F) and to lift, carry, and move products up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. The position also requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing in and out of a truck, and extended driving periods.

Additional Offering

• Quarterly safety incentive bonus (up to $1,500 annually, based on eligibility)

Other Information

• Onsite role based out of Hartford, CT distribution facility
• Part-time, as-needed schedule with variable hours based on business needs; flexibility required
• Start times: Monday–Friday at 3:00 AM, until route completion
• Local travel required throughout the Hartford, CT delivery area
• Occasional Saturday work may be required
