Job summary

Cardinal Health in San Diego is seeking a Delivery Driver for Pharmacy Services & Delivery. You will deliver radiopharmaceuticals or oncology meds to medical care providers on an assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).

The role involves packaging medications, scanning orders with a handheld tablet, loading and unloading, maintaining the vehicle, and performing routine facility duties. Candidates must be 18+, have a valid license, and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends, on call, holidays and overtime
• Experience delivering in a pharmaceutical or nuclear environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiopharmaceuticals or oncology medications to customer accounts on the assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL)
• Package medications for shipment, perform testing, and load/unload containers
• Use a handheld tablet to scan orders, obtain route stop information, and navigation
• Process packages returned from customer locations
• Maintain vehicles in good working condition and perform minor roadside repairs
• Perform general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Pay rate: $20.50 per hour

Shift/Schedule

• 40hrs per week.
• Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
• Candidates must be flexible to work occasional on-call work and rotating Holidays

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to lift and manageup to 75 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to use computers and tablets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• May require vendor credentialing
