Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring a Delivery Driver for our Pharmacy Services & Delivery team in Connecticut. You will be responsible for prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers on an assigned route, loading and unloading, and ensuring safety standards.

You will use a handheld tablet to scan orders, verify stops, and manage packages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and be mobile for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment and using computers/tablets.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays/overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiopharmaceutical or oncology medications to customer accounts on an assigned route using a company vehicle.
• Package radiopharmaceuticals for shipment and load/unload containers.
• Use a handheld tablet to scan orders, confirm route stops, and navigation.
• Process returns from customer locations.
• Maintain vehicle condition and perform minor repairs; assist with general site cleaning.

Shift/Schedule

40 hours per week
Monday - Friday 4:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Weekends and holidays as needed
Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to use computers and tablets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• May require vendor credentialing

Pay rate: $19.50 per hour
