Job summary

Cardinal Health in Houston, TX is seeking a delivery driver for Pharmacy Services & Delivery. You will deliver radiopharmaceutical and oncology medications to medical care providers, load and unload containers, and prepare shipments in accordance with safety standards.

The schedule is 40 hours weekly, Mon–Fri 6:00am–2:30pm with overtime possible. You will use a handheld tablet to scan orders, manage routes, and maintain vehicle readiness; a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age 18 due to driving company vehicle.
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions.
• Basic English proficiency to read/write documents.
• Able to sit, stand, and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible to work various shifts or overtime as needed.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Shift/Schedule

40 hours per week. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm. Working holidays in a rotational basis. Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours or overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
• May require vendor credentialing
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed
• Ability to use computers and tablets

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
