Job summary

SelecTransportation Resources, LLC is seeking a Parts Delivery Driver to safely and promptly deliver parts, tools, and equipment to various locations including repair shops, dealerships, and body shops. This role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and occasional warehouse assistance during downtime.

Responsibilities include following company guidelines, completing the Houston Route Sheet, and coordinating with dispatch for approvals on checks.

Qualifications

• Drivers must have a valid driver’s license for the vehicle type they operate.
• Abide by the Company Vehicle Driving Guidelines.
• Deliver 16–18 deliveries and pickups per day across at least four runs.
• Place parts where the customer wants them and accept reasonable customer requests.
• Check orders against invoices and report any incorrect/missing parts.
• Pick up dirty cores from customer facilities and tag them.
• Return all items to the Warehouse Manager or designate.
• Maintain communication devices and stay reachable.
• Sign all pertinent paperwork when transacting with customers.
• Obtain approval for checks by contacting the dealership Leadman or back counter.
• Fill out the Houston Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star Route Sheet completely.
• While in the warehouse assist in stocking for next deliveries.
• When no deliveries are pending, assist in warehouse duties.
• Lunch breaks may occur away from the dealership and may be unpaid unless discussed.

Description

As a Parts Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of parts, tools, and equipment to our other locations and customers, which include repair shops, dealerships, and body shops. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the parts they need to keep their operations running smoothly.

Requirements

1. 1. Drivers must possess a valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle they operate and keep the license with them at all times while operating the vehicle.
2. 2. Drivers are to abide by the Company Vehicle Driving Guidelines.
3. 3. Drivers are expected to make between 16 and 18 deliveries and pickups per day that are comprised of at least four runs. The delivery quantity depends upon the routes they have been assigned.
4. 4. Drivers are to place parts where the customer wants them in the customer’s facility. Customers are not expected to assist; it is our task and our task alone to do this. Any reasonable request our customers make is to be cheerfully accepted and performed.
5. 5. No matter what assistance drivers receive at the dealership, they alone are responsible for making complete, accurate deliveries. Drivers are to check every order against the invoice for accuracy. Any incorrect parts numbers and/or missing parts should be brought to the Dispatcher’s attention so they can remedy the situation.
6. 6. Drivers are expected to pick up dirty cores from customer facilities each time they make a delivery, and cores are available. Cores must be tagged by the driver.
7. 7. All returns are to be given to the Warehouse Manager or designate.
8. 8. Communication devices are assigned to every driver; they are expected to have them on and be able to be contacted.
9. 9. When transacting directly with the customer, ensure all pertinent paperwork, including invoice, credit card, etc are signed.
10. 10. When drivers receive payment by a customer that is made by check, they are to call the dealership and talk with the Leadman during day hours and back counter during off-hours to get approval of the check. If the check is denied, the parts may not be left.
11. 11. Drivers will use the “Houston Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star Route Sheet” and fill it out correctly and completely. This form is to be turned into the dispatcher or their designate if they are not available.
12. 12. While in the warehouse, drivers are expected to assist in picking parts for their next set of deliveries.
13. 13. While in the warehouse, if there are no pending deliveries, drivers are expected to assist in the work of the warehouse.
14. 14. Because of the nature of their position, drivers spend most of their day away from the dealership, often take lunch break away from the dealership and do not have access to punch in and out. A lunch will be automatically assessed unless otherwise discussed and approved by their manager.
