Job summary

ABC-Auto-Part in Texas is seeking a Delivery Driver to bring parts to customers with exceptional service. Reporting to store management, you will ensure the right parts reach the right customer at the right time, always prioritizing safety and integrity during every delivery.

You will handle routine order delivery, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere by following dress code and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older, must also possess a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record.
• Must be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills, and be able to lift over 40lbs routinely.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts to customers at each stop in a timely manner.
• Ensure the correct parts are delivered per order and maintained safely.
• Complete required paperwork and follow company procedures.

Job Description: Reporting to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the Delivery Driver position is responsible for surprising each customer with exceptional service and delivering that customer experience at each stop. Drivers will get the right parts to the right customer at the right time in a safe manner, and will act with integrity, empathy, and trustworthiness every single day. The Delivery Driver will achieve desired results by executing these core roles.

Core Roles:

Sales:

• Has complete understanding of territory and each stop
• Customer receives order within the allotted time frame
• Credits are picked up, issued and returned to customer by the next business day
• Surprise each customer with exceptional service every day

Profit:

• Verifies all parts before they leave the store
• Follows all cash handling procedures
• Follows all invoicing procedures
• Transfers are treated with the same urgency as a delivery
• Follows company procedures on all bank deposits
• Accurately completes all paperwork as set out in guidelines

Team:

• Recognizes co-workers for doing a great job
• Maintains an extremely positive attitude on a daily basis
• Stays within company dress code
• Follows company guidelines on attendance
• Always willing to help others
• Strives for excellence in everything everyday
• Participates in all company and store meetings and functions

Safety:

• Follows emergency procedures
• Keeps store and work area clean and clutter free
• Utilizes “team lifts” on all heavy and bulky items
• Reports to manager any violations of company safety policies or unsafe working habits
• Follows company safety guidelines that are laid out in the safety manual
• Completes all online Driver’s safety training
• Does not receive call-ins in regards to unsafe driving
• Completes and documents daily and weekly vehicle inspections
• Follows vehicle accident procedures
• Accident forms and insurance cards are in every vehicle
• Adheres to the company’s distracted driving policy
