Job summary

Courtesy Chevrolet San Diego is seeking a Parts Driver to safely deliver and pickup automotive parts, supplies, and documents for customers and vendors. You will support the Parts Department, maintain schedules, and assist with warehouse tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license, strong customer service skills, and reliability to manage deliveries and daily duties in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive parts to wholesale and retail customers in a timely manner.
• Pickup parts and supplies from vendors and other dealership locations.
• Verify orders prior to delivery for accuracy.
• Obtain signatures and maintain delivery documentation.
• Operate company vehicles safely and follow policies.
• Keep delivery vehicle clean and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with stock, organization, and receiving in the parts dept.
• Load and unload parts safely.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate delivery issues to management and assist with duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary

The Parts Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and pickup of automotive parts, supplies, and documents between the dealership, vendors, and customers. This position supports the Parts Department by ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining delivery schedules, and assisting with warehouse and inventory functions as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive parts and accessories to wholesale and retail customers in a timely manner.
• Pick up parts, cores, and supplies from vendors and other dealership locations.
• Verify orders before delivery to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Obtain necessary signatures and maintain delivery documentation.
• Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and dealership policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and receiving inventory in the parts department.
• Load and unload parts and materials safely.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during all deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate delivery issues, delays, or customer concerns to management.
• Assist with general parts department duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle in varying traffic and weather conditions.
• Previous driving, parts, warehouse, or dealership experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must pass background check and drug test

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Regular walking, standing, bending, reaching, and climbing in and out of vehicles.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
