Job summary

Tri--county-Ford-1 in Buckner, KY is seeking a dependable delivery driver to support our dealership by delivering and picking up parts and equipment in a timely, professional fashion.

You will operate company vehicles safely, coordinate with the parts management team for last-minute pickups, maintain daily delivery logs and signatures, and assist with stocking and keeping the parts department and vehicles looking professional.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors in a timely manner.
• Checks with parts management, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping/receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
• Unloads truck at the end of shift and turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
• Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs or maintenance.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department and parts vehicles.
• Assists with stocking of parts as directed by parts management.
