Job summary

BioTrans LLC in Brockton, MA is seeking a Part-time Route Driver to join our transportation team. The role involves route deliveries with early start times, typically starting as early as 3:00 am, on a Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday schedule.

You will drive a cargo van or small box truck, handle pre-trip inspections, use GPS and our workflow apps, and may stay overnight in hotels at company expense when required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in past 3 years; no DWI/DUI in past 5 years).
• Background check required.
• Ability to use smartphones and learn workflow applications.
• Experience driving cargo vans and box trucks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight using a small box truck or cargo van.
• Adhere to routes and time-sensitive schedules with attention to detail.
• Maintain safety commitments.
• Navigate using GPS and operate scanning devices.
• Climb into/out of vehicles repeatedly without difficulty.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel as needed; report issues to dispatch/management.
• Clean, wash and sanitize assigned vehicles.

Our Brockton, MA Hub is currently seeking a Part-time Route Driver to join our team!

BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.

Route Driver Position: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday route deliveries approximate start as early as 3:00 am. In state and out of state driving including city driving and airport runs. Possible overnight stays in a hotel paid by our company.

Route Driver Shift Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to navigate surrounding areas using GPS and comfortable with scanning devices.
• Comfortable climbing into and out of vehicles repeatedly with no difficulties.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers).
• Clean, wash and sanitize assigned vehicles.

• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting.
