Job summary

Hayward Lumber is seeking a Driver (Non-CDL) for our Pacific Grove, CA yard. This full-time, hourly role delivers building materials, loads and unloads with care, and keeps accurate delivery records while following safety procedures.

You will work under the Yard Supervisor/Dispatcher, maintain courteous customer interactions, and assist with routine vehicle checks. Valid license and physical ability to lift 60–100 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Experience operating a Flatbed/Flatbed Dump Truck preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 60–100 lbs.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• Knowledge of building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload materials to customers safely.
• Serve as customer service liaison and resolve issues.
• Follow delivery schedules and job directives precisely.
• Verify orders and log deliveries with weights and locations.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and safety checks.
• Assist supervisor and other teams as needed.
