Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience operating flatbed trucks preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions or memos in English.
• Ability to present information clearly to customers and coworkers.
• Capable of lifting 60–100 lbs.
• Physical ability to pull, push and climb in/out of a truck cab.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber and related building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and unloads building materials to customers while protecting goods and property.
• Serve as a customer service liaison and assist with issues as they arise.
• Follow delivery schedules and adhere to directives precisely.
• Verify order details and maintain delivery logs (weights, mileage, locations).
• Check items against invoices for accuracy.
• Complete a thorough load check before leaving the branch and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain service logs and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Operate trucks safely and efficiently.
• Assist supervisor and other teammates as needed.
