Responsibilities

1. Deliver customer orders safely within a service area, including interfacing with customers on order issues.
2. Load inventory into trucks and unload orders at customer sites using powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
3. Review order manifests to ensure completeness and accuracy.
4. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections according to Department of Transportation regulations.
5. Maintain contact with the distribution center regarding delivery interruptions.
6. Prepare and maintain vehicle and order records.
7. Update customers on delivery statuses.
8. Provide feedback on customer service and sales issues.

Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering merchandise using a box truck or similar vehicle.
• 1+ years of experience operating material handling equipment.
• No more than 2 minor accidents and 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Wholesale distribution experience (preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred); specialized training or certification may be required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Additional Information

• Exercise judgment under supervision, with regular review.
• Work environment involves moderate risks and physical exertion, including lifting over 50 pounds and exposure to noise, fumes, etc.
• Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.
