Delivery Driver (non CDL) (Finance)

About the Role:
You will:
- Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, and other sites as directed by management.
- Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise, securing the load properly to prevent shifting or damage, and ensure the availability of necessary equipment for unloading.
- Understand shipping documents related to each delivery and have accurate directions to each destination.
- Review shipping documentation for order accuracy.
- Unload merchandise at the delivery site, placing it as requested, and obtain a legible signature for all delivered items per company policy.
- Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries before releasing the merchandise.
- Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- Load merchandise at other locations, including vendor pickups, customer returns, and other wholesalers.
- Note prospective customer information during deliveries to provide sales leads.
- Inspect the truck and required parts for safe operation before departure, and keep the truck clean.
- Report any mechanical issues to management and complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when required.
- At the end of the day, remove keys from the truck and store them appropriately.
- Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
About You:
- You must be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs. As a non-CDL driver, you should:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Have a driving record that meets company criteria for Authorized Drivers
- Pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting and every two years thereafter

- Understand laws and regulations governing motor vehicle operation, especially DOT regulations for commercial vehicles.
- Apply safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environments.
- Build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Remain calm and effective in stressful or emergency situations.
- Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and computer systems used in delivery processes.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Perform basic math operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
