Job summary

Hmh Contractors, Inc. is looking for a dependable Delivery Driver/Material Assistant to safely transport mechanical fabrications, construction materials, tools, and equipment between facilities, vendors, and active jobsites.

In addition to driving responsibilities, this role involves warehouse organization, material and tool management, and basic maintenance of tools and small equipment to support field operations daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work daily.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Complete deliveries and pickups between facilities, vendors, and jobsites.

Job description

We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver / Material Assistant. This position supports our field operations by safely transporting mechanical fabrications, construction materials, tools, and equipment between HMH facilities, vendors, and active construction jobsites.

In addition to driving responsibilities, this is a hands-on position that assists with warehouse organization, material and tool management, and basic maintenance and repairs of tools and small equipment.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Operate a variety of company vehicles ranging from 1/2-ton trucks to a 24-foot Class 6 flatbed truck.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent attention to detail, Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to safely lift, carry, load, unload, and secure construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. Physically able to lift to 50 pounds independently.
• Comfortable working in warehouse, fabrication shop, outdoor, and active construction jobsite
  environments.
