Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a delivery driver to safely operate company trucks, load and unload merchandise, and deliver exceptional customer service in assigned routes across Texas. You will use handheld devices to track deliveries, collect signatures, and document completion, while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role supports warehouse tasks and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles (GVW 14,500–26,000 lb).
• Ability to meet all DOT requirements and maintain medical certification.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs; team lift for heavier items.
• Strong safety focus and customer service orientation.
• Flexible schedules including overtime as needed.
• Valid driver license in-state required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company delivery vehicle to complete scheduled customer deliveries within assigned service areas.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload merchandise per safety procedures and DOT requirements.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and resolve routine delivery questions; escalate as needed.
• Use handheld tech to manage routes, capture signatures, and document deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Verify order accuracy and ensure merchandise arrives in good condition.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, vehicle safety standards, and transportation regulations.
• Support warehouse operations: pulling, stocking, staging, inventory tasks.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Communicate proactively about delays, route changes, or customer concerns.
