Job summary

Platt Electric Supply, Inc. in Coeur d'Alene, ID, is hiring a Branch Driver to deliver products from the branch to customers and backhaul from suppliers. The role does not require a CDL and focuses on safety, accuracy, and reliable service.

You will inspect the vehicle, load and unload orders, complete paperwork, and meet delivery deadlines while following DOT and company policies. This is a full-time on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to/from customers, branch locations, and suppliers.
• Inspect vehicle and complete daily inspection report.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and notify supervisor of repairs.
• Follow DOT, local and state driving laws.
• Load/unload material and verify order accuracy.
• Prepare orders for delivery and complete delivery documents.
• Collect material returns and verify condition and quantities.
• Visit suppliers to pick up material.
• Support branch operations as needed (counter sales, stocking, shipping).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
