Job summary

JC Licht seeks a Delivery Driver in Geneva, IL to safely operate a delivery van/box truck, deliver products to stores and customers, and collect payments where required.

You will verify loads, maintain accurate logs, and uphold excellent customer service while loading/unloading and performing routine vehicle inspections. Must lift up to 75 lbs and hold a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have an MVR within company guidelines.
Previous product delivery experience preferred.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Verifies load against shipping papers.
Drives delivery van/box truck to destinations.
Collects payment for goods and delivery charges.
Maintains safe handling of products to minimize damage.
Maintains positive customer relations and resolves issues with supervision.
Maintains van log per state and federal regulations.
Loads and unloads vehicles.
Inspects equipment and supplies.
Performs emergency roadside repairs.
Maintains neat appearance on the job.
Other duties as assigned.

Summary: Drives van to deliver product or purchases to stores or customer locations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Verifies load against shipping papers.
Drives van and box truck to destination.
Collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
Responsible for proper handling of product to minimize damage to products.
Responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and involving management to resolve customer issues.
Maintains van log according to state and federal regulations.
Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Loads and unloads van.
Inspects van equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
Maintains a neat appearance at all times while on the job.
Other duties as assigned.
