Job summary

Garvey's Office Products, a subsidiary of Office Depot, Inc., is seeking an energetic Delivery Driver to join our team in the United States. The driver will deliver customer orders daily, maintain safety standards, and manage loading/unloading with care. Training is provided, and a company vehicle is provided.

Hours are typically Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with guaranteed 8 hours pay per day. Prior delivery experience and a clean driving record are preferred for this full-time role.

• Strong knowledge of local geography and delivery areas.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and routing information.
• Commitment to safety and accuracy in delivery tasks.
• Good physical stamina for lifting, loading, and long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders in a productive, time sensitive manner.

• Load, unload, and secure products for delivery.
• Deliver to customer locations meeting delivery goals.
• Collect and track returns within set time frames.
• Operate delivery vehicles safely and legally.
• Maintain vehicle and contents in good condition.
• Complete daily route paperwork and pre/post trip checks.
• Communicate obstacles affecting goals to team.
• Support continuous improvement of delivery processes.

Garvey's Office Products, a subsidiary of Office Depot, Inc. is looking for an energetic, friendly Delivery Driver to join our team! The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering customer orders in a productive, time sensitive and customer sensitive manner on a daily basis.

Company Vehicle Provided! No CDL Required! Paid Training! Commercial Driving, Clean Driving, or Previous Delivery Experiences Preferred.

Hours: M-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Guaranteed 8 hours pay per day, even if you finish your route early !

Responsibilities Include:

• The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering customer orders in a productive, time sensitive and customer sensitive manner on a daily basis
• This position is responsible for demonstrating safety, quality, and operational expertise
• Load, unload and secure product; to ensure customers receive clean and damage free merchandise
• Delivers product to customer locations meeting established delivery goals
• Collect and track customer returns within a specified time frame
• Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and lawful manner
• Responsible for the vehicle and its contents
• Complete daily route and all appropriate paperwork
• Communicate obstacles that prohibit us from meeting our established goals
• Complete daily pre and post trip checklist
• Actively seek to support implementation of and contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement to the delivery processes
• Communicate customer feedback to sales and/or supervisory personnel
• Contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement utilizing LEAN practices

Position Requirements

• Minimum 2 years commerical driving expereience, with experience in the delivery of small packages preferred
• Accident free driving record reflected during a rolling 36-month average
• Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification
• Experience using POD or tablet device in the scanning of customer products
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using the English language (English competency)
• Basic product knowledge
• Knowledge of operation of power/mobile equipment
• Ability to understand addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Geographical knowledge of the delivery service areal
• Ability to read and understand a map
• Demonstrate a commitment to Core Values and adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures
• Ability to use manual pallet jacks to transport pallets of products up to 2,500 pounds
• Ability to work in all types of weather due to various climate changes
• Repetitive lifting of paper, continuous climbing in and out of vehicle
• Ability to stand; on feet for long periods of time, continuous walking including stairs
