Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a Delivery Driver to service customers in the New York area. You will operate a company-provided box truck, manage deliveries, and maintain delivery records while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires a valid driver's license, MVR checks, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Strong knowledge of safety and traffic laws, and previous wholesale distribution experience are preferred. HS Diploma or GED preferred; generally 2–5 years in similar duties.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in the delivery/distribution field.
• Prior experience delivering merchandise using a box truck or similar vehicle.
• 1+ years operating material handling equipment.
• Wholesale distribution experience.
• Clean driving record with no more than 2 minor accidents in 3 years and no more than 2 moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Delivers customer orders safely within a service area and interfaces with customers on order issues.
• Loads inventory into trucks and unloads orders at customer sites using equipment.
• Reviews order manifests to ensure accuracy of orders and routes.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and internal policies.
• Maintains contact with the distribution center about delivery interruptions.
• Prepares and maintains vehicle and order records.
• Contacts customers to provide updates on delivery statuses and resolves issues.
