Delivery Driver (CDL A) – Lansing, MI

Christman Constructors, Inc. (CCI) is a national, employee‑owned construction firm serving projects throughout the Midwest. We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to support our construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining warehouse conditions to a high standard of safety, organization, and cleanliness inside and outside the facility.
• Check documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Inspect loads to ensure cargo is secure.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Maintain logs and other required documentation.
• Follow delivery instructions accordingly.
• Check condition of trailers and equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
• Secure cargo for transport, using provided equipment.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
• Repair and maintain tools and equipment.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Drive trucks and deliver orders to construction sites.
• Perform basic computer functions.
• Maintain vehicle yard.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience delivering equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Current and valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• Compliance with DOT and other applicable requirements.
• Basic knowledge of construction instruments/tools.
• Ability to learn new systems and technologies.
• Capacity to work at a fast and steady pace to meet production goals.
• Ability to operate large equipment safely.
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.

Hours and Travel

Full‑time position. Occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Travel to project sites for deliveries is required, primarily within the local area with occasional travel outside the local region.
